Greetings in Christ!
Last week held my first author event, and I had a wonderful time! I love seeing people’s interest in Voice of the Ashes—whether they actually purchase a copy or subscribe to my newsletter with plans to buy it later.
|
“This looks SO intriguing!” one mom told me after reading the back cover. “My daughter loves epic stories and I think she’ll really like this! We’ve been trying to steer her away from fantasy and sci-fi, and this could be just the thing.”
|
“Did you write this?” one teenage girl asked, her eyes full of interest. At my affirmation, she said, “It looks really interesting! I’m going to get a copy.”
|
I’m so thankful for the opportunity to meet my readers and answer their questions. (One question was, “I’m a spelling teacher, and I’m interested in what the ‘Q’ in your initials stands for.” Yes, I told her—and she was properly horrified that it’s a ‘q’ with no ‘u’ following it.)
|
I also handed out Scripture water bottle stickers, which were a huge hit with the young girls coming through—they could hardly believe I wasn’t charging anything!
|
Now I’m preparing for my book event next week, along with editing my WII novel, Judah’s Battle, and dipping into smaller projects as time allows.
|
Praise the Lord for strength to walk each day according to His will, grace to love and serve others as He did on this earth, and hope for what He has for us in the future!

IMPORTANT BOOK UPDATE
|
|
|
I have some big news, and I realise it sounds crazy, especially since we just released my book in February. But ... well, let me start at the beginning.
|
My publisher, Calla Press, has signed with a book distribution company. This means that not only will their books be available online, they’ll be in bookstores, libraries, and schools across the U.S. and Canada, making them much more accessible. We’re so grateful for God’s provision in this way!
|
This new opportunity involves removing each title from online stores and re-launching them one by one under the new distributor, and for some of them—like mine—the timeline is long.
|
This means that if you haven’t ordered your copy of Voice of the Ashes, do it now! It will be unavailable for purchase from August 2026 to April 2028, except at in-person events I attend while my supplies last.
|
